Out in the yard most of the day again. So beautiful. Almost overnight it seems the Autumn Joy Sedum is returning.
Not sure if you all remember this one or not from over the years. It starts out as green, then pink then burgundy at the end of summer.
A favorite as it lasts two seasons long. Spring through the summer.
Will post more when it progresses. A few more sprouts were seen as well. Spring has arrived.

Does it die back during the winter, and then re-emerge during the spring?

@CarolDM Awesome! So each spring when it comes back to life, it gets bigger and bigger?

@moffittjc Yes it does. That was the reason to transplant it to the garden. It has more room.

Yes it does Jeff. A favorite perennial. I kept it on the deck for years and would keep it in the garage over the winter. It kept growing out of the containers. Planted in Dustin's garden a couple of years ago and it has doubled in size.

I look forward to seeing your photos, of this Autumn Joy Sedum plant:) Have you ever grown what's known as hens? My sister grew these, they sprout little chicks all summer long. I'm not sure if I have the name right.

@CarolDM I thought this was so cute, when my sister explained about the hens producing little chicks:)

@kobesbuddy Yes and they are succulents (in the cactus family), like this sedum. Should be very easy to grow.

I like plants that last most of the seasons I have myrtle that is green all year but has pretty purple flowers in the spring and early summer.
