Doubling up

I have arthritis and have been taking a glucosamine/condroitin/MSM combination tablet for years. The recommended dosage is 1 tablet three times a day. But I'm from the one is better than none cheapskate school, and that has been usually enough. But lately my knees have been complaining more, and walking was getting difficult, not to mention hip pain. So yesterday I took a second tablet before going to bed. And when I got up this morning walking was much easier. I even walked to the Centre4Women today at a faster pace than I've been managing. I even did a couple hours of yard cleanup after getting home. So, I guess it's 1 tablet twice a day for me now.

Yes, but double my dose means double my cost. Good thing I got a jumbo bottle of it last time my friend took me to Costco.

@BarBaraPrz yes but it's chrysler than replacing your knee at present and think of all the money you saved not needing it until now.

Glad you feel better. I have Fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid Arthritis and I sure know what that pain is. I tried everything, even what you mentioned and nothing helped me until I seen a Rheumatologist and I am now on Rinvoq.

@BarBaraPrz Wow. Some medication is so harsh and causes more problems. I had a bad reaction to Methotrexate. I am off of it now.

I was on celebrex for a while, starting in the fall of that year, and it helped a lot but the first sunny day in April I went outside for five minutes and got a sunburn. It raised my sun sensitivity for the rest of the summer, even though I stopped taking it.

Sometimes the dose they recommend that you take just isn't right for your body.

I'm thinking I might have arthritis because I'm in a lot of pain but I'm not so sure it might be something else because I have other issues. At any rate, I seem to never get enough Ibuprofen.

Might be worth a try, but see your doctor if you want a definitive diagnosis.

One tablet a day used to be enough but now I'm going to see how much more effective two a day is. Today's result may have been a fluke or may be the dose I need to keep going.
