Jan Katherine Sy - a super tycoon's young daughter dies.

No, I know her not, till this morning when I heard about her passing in a homily.
My messenger filled with a Henry Sy, Jr, video which I chose to ignore. What could he be saying relevant to our lives, I thought. I was one never interested in business matters.
Didn't know it was a eulogy for his daughter, Jan Katherine Sy, 29. She passed away because of sepsis after being intubated at St. Luke's Global Thursday last week.
Searched for the eulogy video but it was already taken down. Instead, there's a short clip that featured Jan Katherine talking about her faith and her role as a Christian in this pandemic times.
She's scheduled to walk down the aisle in April. The good Lord, I think, wants Jan Katherine entirely for Himself.

Admirable the father - Henry Sy, Jr. - who, in grief, gathered courage to thank God for the 29 years of blessing him with a beautiful daughter named Jan Katherine.
Nothing else more devastating for any parent than to lose a child. Parents go before the children and not bury them. That is supposed to be the natural course of things.
It was simply devastating.

According to her father, they were allowed to take a peek before intubation, Jan Katherine made the double thumbs up and pointed upwards, signaling she was ready to meet our Lord Jesus.

Her father was heartbroken but knowing his eldest daughter the prodder of the family for the Sunday obligation, he knew he had to bend to the Will of the Lord. So he simply said - 'Blessed be the Name of the Lord.' - in reference to the story of Job who also lost all.

Gosh!. I should have watched the video that went viral the day before. It's taken down now. I suppose Henry Sy, Jr, wants us to remember her daughter and not focus attention on him.

Yes, even I am heartbroken and I never knew her before this morning. She's my daughters' age. instantly felt the grief of the family.

Yes, the family is truly heartbroken.
Henry Sy, Jr. is a business magnate and owns many of the malls around the country. Probably still the richest in Asia. But the family is quiet and nary a news about the children. Till now.
Am sure the family will be grateful for all our prayers. Nothing so devastating as grieving for a child.
