Wow, what a terrible day. I’ll talk about the storms in Alabama and Georgia in another discussion. For now, a beautiful day and a great song with “dream” in the title await! Here’s a killer tune that most of you have never heard.
#6: Dreams I’ll Never See - Molly Hatchet
Ah, the world of covers. This was originally an Allman Brothers Band song. Gregg Allman wrote it while having a down time trying to get his career started before the formation of the Allman Brothers Band.
I really don’t care for their version. I got spoiled by the cover by Jacksonville’s second-generation southern rockers Molly Hatchet.
So sue me.
There’s still a band called “Molly Hatchet” out there, but they have no resemblance whatsoever to the band that recorded those first two albums. Front man Danny Joe Brown was in and out of the band because of health issues (he died young from diabetes complications in 2005), and without his growling vocals leading the band they were just another three-guitar band to me.

Five for five! You need to replace Joey Votto on the Reds. I know you can run faster than him (a sloth can outrun him!).
