When you accidentally text someone the middle finger

My cousin just texted me to wish me Happy Passover. I wanted to reply back to her with a thank you. I typed ty, which should automatically change to thank you when I press space bar, and hit send. When I saw what I had texted her I couldn't believe it. The ty never changed to thank you and there was a middle finger emoji next to it. I have no idea how the heck it happened. I immediately texted her back to apologize.

At least you did admit your error. Hopefully your cousin will accept your apology since none of us are perfect.

@lovebuglena I figured that your cousin understood your error.

That is strange. I hate when things like that happen while texting.

And the weird thing is I wasn't even looking through emojis to send to her. All I remember is typing ty and hitting send.

@lovebuglena Sometimes technology is more trouble than it's worth.

Yes I do despise that correction feature. It often does things like that to me.

It is very annoying when it changes what you type to something else entirely.

That's actually kind of funny. But good thing you caught your error and texted her immediately about it. Could you imagine what her reaction would have been if you hadn't realized what you sent? Her jaw probably would have dropped to the floor.

LOL was her reply. She was not upset or offended I'd think. But what I find odd is that I was not in my emoji keyboard looking for stuff to send. And I don't remember sending anyone the middle finger so it should've have been in the predicted text either. So how the heck did it appear in the text?

@lovebuglena Maybe you were hacked. Or maybe Lenny was playing a joke on you or something.

Imagine someone sends you either well wishes or congratulations or Happy Birthday/Happy Holidays, etc. and your reply to them is the middle finger. That can be taken the wrong way. And if you don't realize what you've accidentally done and apologize that won't be good.
