Weight Loss Plan for April

I won't be starting this plan till April 5th - but there is something I am going to try and hopefully stick to. I know, I usually give up/fail quickly when trying to get back on plan. However, I know I also need to stop eating carbs and do something. So...going to try to do a month of Keto Carnivore...well improvised a bit. This works best for me since I don't like veggies anyways. So - I will eat mostly meats/animal products. I'll have cheese (phew) as well. Will allow butter, heavy cream, mayo, etc... I think I will also allow peanut butter in small amounts and my fat bomb treats (but limit those to 1x a day). I will also allow a Keto Chow shake (well or the powder if I wanted to make waffles or a mug cake). I mostly need to give up the items that are low in net carbs, but not so low in total carbs (like tortillas, breads, etc). Oh yeah, will also have coffee with heavy cream and sweetener. And not giving up my diet soda. I will try to get at least 64 ounces of water. Have you ever done a carnivore diet, or would you? I know some here are vegitarian/vegan...so that would be a no go.

@DocAndersen I just am afraid I will let everyone down all over again. I don't have the best track record. I am sure most are tired of hearing it, and a lot of the time I don't think many even care. I'm really a nobody lol

I've never done a carnivore diet and wouldn't want to. I like veggies and salads and since they are not the problem of a (bad) diet, wouldn't give them up. I would do better myself on a moderation diet. Good luck with your diet. It's all about mindset!!

Well if you like them, then that is good. I don't think I will ever be able to eat them. I don't believe in a moderation diet but if that works for others great. Thanks...I know many don't believe I can do it since I failed at everything else.

@MommyOfEli2013 You just need to set your mind to it and do not listen to what others say or think about it. You have to do this for you...not them!

@kareng Well I have trouble doing that first part. I really don't want to have to give up the foods I like.

@MommyOfEli2013 I am a carby, so it was hard to stop the first time. Lol. But i did it. By mostly having the 1 meal a day and making it chicken most days.

@Courtlynn oh yea, I totally get that - I love my carbs too. I think that is why I have trouble staying low carb. That's great that you did it, got to find whatever works! I am going to try mostly a carnivore diet in April (after Easter), so that should be fun. Lol...I think I said that above didn't I.

That's good to try to limit those sort of things....but I do understand going back to eating those certain things often...they can be addicting!

I know of a member and her husband that have tried the Keto (carnivore) diet. I think her husband had some success with it. I probably wouldn't try it. I don't think I could just eat a lot of meat. Good luck with it!

I know some that have done just regular Keto.....but Keto Carnivore is more strict. I understand not everyone would want to eat just meat. But at least it gets rid of inflammatory foods (aka carbs).

I have not as I am vegetarian. As long as you enjoy it, stick to it and it shows good result, you should go ahead

@MommyOfEli2013 Hmm....many people are there who struggle to enjoy veggies and fruits. I loved them since childhood and so no issues here. My elder daughter is a little picky about veggies though she eats plenty of them. But yes, she needs her chicken regularly. Younger daughter is like me. Though she likes chicken, she is more fond of fruits and vegetables.

@arunima25 Yes some struggle to enjoy them, then others love them. Me, I can't even stomach them. Liking them since you were young does help, I am sure.
