When Trials and Tribulations Overwhelm

Trials and Tribulations

We are human with worries and emotions playing their part. At times, they entrap us and we see no light at the end of the dark tunnel. I have gone through few such phases in my life and I tried to detach myself from the crushing reality but never lost hope. Soon they were over. The experiences from such prove an asset as I get reassured nothing in life lasts and it is for me to adjust rather than want my life to pan out the way I want. Winston Churchill said to motivate “If You're Going through Hell, Keep Going” Nothing is for forever. I do what is best and accept the result and at times what I get is better than I what I had expected. I believe we get what we deserve. If we feel we are short changed, we can still rise up to punch above our weight. Our attitude matters in the end and we should keep our chin up. This pandemic is testing us with an unseen enemy in a tight bear hug from which we have to extricate ourselves and it should soon be back to our glory days. At least it has kept us away from each other’s throats for the time being – forced unity against a common enemy! How do you face trials and tribulations of life? Churchill's message is exactly right. I have done it many times in life. Just keep pushing.

I have experienced the good and bad alternate and so better to take our reverses in our stride. We can feel hell right here or heaven too - depends on our attitude

Winston Churchill had that right, and a positive attitude really helps.

@Shiva49 I've always thought the nation was very ungrateful to do that to him.

“Never let a good crisis go to waste.” is another of his sayings. But we get a handful in our lifetime, most created by us only, maybe, this virus included. I wonder how he took his voting out of power at the peak of his fame suffering a humiliating election defeat in 1945.

It resonates with not taking "one-size-fits-all" approach. We need to adapt.

Mostly I try to struggle on and eventually everything resolves itself.

That is the way I do, keep pegging away, then accept whatever is the outcome with all humility, and soon move on.

Even though sometimes life gets too hard, those are the times where we need to be more persistent

Hard times make us look forward to and enjoy more the good times. Like now, all are under lock down and when we are able to fly the coop, fly again in the skies, airborne, we will feel like a free bird once again.

It is good to have people to back us - "a friend in need is a friend indeed"

@Fa_Maverick I have met a few like that in my personal and work-life. They were so unpredictable and it was such a pain to be with them. I had to take active steps to get away from them.

If we have a positive attitude then the journey is a challenge filled with opportunities.
