Camouflage!

Comedy is a camouflage of depression. A quote i read somewhere but don’t know who said it. But this reminded me of Robin Williams. I admired him a lot. He was one of those Hollywood actors who could make me laugh and cry too. Depression is something that we should take seriously and never lightly. Some people hide behind a smile but deep inside, they’re hurting. I’ve been there. I’ve been depressed before. But I have friends and family that i hold on to when things are just too tough.

I also loved Robin Williams, he was a great actor. The quote you mentioned is by Rodney Dangerfield, who also said “Better to keep quiet and let people think you’re an idiot than speak up and confirm it.” A quote that often comes to my mind when I hear some people defending their silly ideas. I have been depressed, I have always tried not to show that I was.

@toniganzon I miss Dolphy and his jokes. I thoroughly enjoy his commercial, Banayad Whiskey. It is actually a commercial in one of his movies.

We live in a world where people do not care, so it is not just in the comedy but our lives at large.

Yes. And sometimes it’s just hard to help them coz we don’t even know they’re needing help.

That's beautifully said and it's true. Many a times smiles and laughter hide a deep hurt. It's to conceal some deep pain that we don't want to show.
