I just had to see what all the fuss was about. Netflix new series The Bridgerton's hit the top ten shows in the first few days that I had the subscription. Of course though, I need to read it first. The book is really good. I loved the drama and being back in that time. There was humor in it and a normal family dynamic for that period. Daphne Bridgerton is the nice girl that everyone loves. They just don't fall in love with her. She's at the age now where she has to think about marriage and a family but how do you make the opposite sex change their view of you that's been that way for so long. Enter Simon Basset. The Duke that doesn't want to be a Duke and has absolutely no desire to wed nor have children. Overcoming a horrible childhood to become the man that he is, he finds that he likes Daphne despite trying not to. An arrangement is made between the two of them that seems mutually beneficial. Daphne and Simon enter into a courtship which will get Daphne seen as a romantic interest and mothers and women will leave him in peace for the time that he is there. There was never to be anything inappropriate between them. The passion they felt when each other's presence was to be nothing but a passing feeling. What happens though, when they can no longer deny the chemistry that burns between them? For that time period it can only lead in two directions. Keep the chemistry quiet or...marriage. Which will Daphne and Simon choose? Will they have a happily ever after? Read the book not only for the romantic drama between the Bridgertons and Simon but because Lady Whistledown has the gossip on everyone. Join the mystery to find out who this Lady Whistledown is, I know I sure have. If you've read it, what did you think about it? In comparison to the show? *picture from google

Reading has always been ny biggest pleasure. Now I´m reading again an old book: Top of the world. It was made into a movie too, decades ago.

I enjoyed it. I also enjoyed the show but in a different way. I saw someone liked the show more than the book but I don't see how you really can because there are differences that are minor but still change things up a little

I saw that on Facebook. I need to read the second book before the second season comes on. I enjoyed both the book and the show but the book was better
