I will have a gardener tomorrow.

I just received a call from the woman who offered a young man that was deaf as a gardener.
He was working elsewhere when she first talked to me about him. But now he can come tomorrow. I will have to get up early to open the door for him and for Maria Eugenia, the woman who has him at her house. She will have to teach me how to explain things to him yet not be too close.
I hope all this works for us. He is not a gardener but he needs to work and I need someone to clean up first. Then, little by little, I can have a garden again, at least in the front part.
Wish me luck, friends!

I feel more secure with this young man as I´m sure that gangs will not accept him. He looks clean and nice and he is working hard. If I get along with him, he can come once a week.

The bad part about being deaf, is you need to be close to sign or read lips. A lot of people do both. You also have the option of asking if he'd be comfortable communicating via text message. But, at least, you'll have someone to help you.

It is noble to give "Persons with Special Needs" or "Persons With Disabilities" the chance to earn money for a living.

I don´t feel I´m beeing specially noble. My idea of people is that we are all unique and with special needs. If he can help me with my garden, I´m the one with special needs. I can´t garden anymore.
