It was a tumultuous weekend -- the death of my friend, a major holiday, a refrigerator delivery (finally!), one of the teens cut his hand while washing dishes and required a trip to the ER and 14 stitches, a toilet tank breaking in half (which meant we had to call a plumber on a weekend), my 2nd COVID vaccine... shall I go on?
When I woke up yesterday morning to get ready for work, I felt like I had been hit by a truck. My arm ached like crazy, my head hurt, and I just felt awful all over. I called out, and I took today off too. I know it's mostly just the vaccine side effects, but too many things happened this weekend and I'm simply wiped out.
My next scheduled day is Thursday, and I'm sure I'll be fine by then.

I'm trying to. The house is still quiet right now, which is nice (and very rare). I'll make myself some coffee in a bit.

. And then the vaccine side effects on top of that. Is today better than it was for you yesterday? Rest up and hope the week goes smoothly!!

- oh I sometimes get a tennis elbow type thing if I have to chop too much. Hopefully tomorrow the soreness is all gone!

@much2say I hope so! Yes, I'm not kidding about the several pounds. Frequently I'm given recipes that call for 16 cups of diced onion, or 20 cups of diced carrots.

Today is better than yesterday, but my arm didn't like the idea of chopping up several pounds of onions this morning.
