My grandmother and father got their stimulus and they asked me how much I need! I don't want to be greedy and ask for half. Should I say 1000?!? Or just ask for a small amount?

I would not ever take my grandparent's money for nothing. But many situations are different.

If you need the money, you could ask for whatever they can spare and leave it to them.

@db20747 Tell them $300 and see what happens. That is a blessing to get free. Good luck.

@db20747 Then ask for what you need. Do they need the money themselves and if they don't then don't feel bad to ask for what you need.

Put your thinking cap on and look at all they have been paying for between now and last year. Do you think they should give out anything let alone a grand. If you pay them rent every month and help with the bills I can see you asking for $200 but a roof over your head is what I am sure they have provided for. You do what is right and you will be ok.

I do not live with them, but I help them out when they get sick. What they give me is pennies as high as things are here

@sharon6345 yes, this is blood family. She doesn't want a health aid. She doesn't want strangers in her house. A person can't not charge because they have to eat and sleep. She puts me out when she gets ready. And doesn't want me there. Things are high in DC. I cant live for free, even though she thinks I do.

I wouldn't ask for any, let them spend it the way they want for themselves.

No, I wouldn't take from them, they probably need it for themselves.

well, you need to think where that money will go for their needs and if they have excess, you can ask for that

Since I started to work, I never asked for some money from my biological parents. Now, I am giving back their sacrifices did before.
