The glass shattered in little pieces.

I was trying to open a jar so that I could take out some dill pickles. It was the kind of jar that has a tight glass lid. I first tried to take it out with my hnds and I could not do it. So I used a knife. And the lid jumped and fell on the floor where it broke in a thousand pieces. I had to walk very carefully to where the alarm was and turn it off. Then bring in the broom and swep as I could because I don´t see much at night. I changed my flip flops just in case. I´m sad. It was such a nice jar! I don´t know if Daniel will come as he doesn´t answer the phone. But Nicolás will come. I´ll make him clean up Luna´s garden.

I swept the floor last night. But today, with the aid of the sun, I found a piece of glass even in the dining room. I swept again and will later vaccuum.

@marguicha That kind of glass breaks in hundreds of small pieces.

The jar itself is fine. I´ll keep the pickles there but will not be able to buy a new jar until the lockdown is over.

Oh, yikes! What a shame. Those jars are so darn hard to open. I bought a gadget that helps so much. It even opens bottles for me.

The jar was so beautiful! They are much nicer than the ones with tin lids.

Happened to me a few tiimes now when I couldn't open a simple jar. Almost whacked myself in the face when the teaspoon I used, went some other direction instead.

Aww, sorry to hear that. Be careful cleaning it up. Most of the time, I would still find remaining of broken glass from months ago.

That's why I hate dealing with glass. Sorry to hear about the jar.

It looked like a sturdy lid.
