Impulse buy of the week..

How's it going? It is my Friday and after work tonight I have the next 3 days off. I have been pretty good about NOT doing online shopping the past couple of weeks, but I let myself slide a little bit as I made this online purchase last week and just received it in the mail today, so I was excited about that. This is dehydrated peanut butter powder that is also FLAVORED - vegan - low calorie and low-ish carb (6g of carbs and 45 cals per serving) and with a bunch of different weird and fun flavors. This came in a promo pack, 5 bags for $60, and I found a 15% off coupon online. Each bag has 18 2 TBS servings, so a total of just under 100 servings for less than $60. Not terrible. These aren't a great source of protein (only like 2 or 3 grams per serving) and the flavors are a little crazy to mix with anything else, but a nice treat to distract me from eating higher calorie foods (like real peanut butter!) as I'm trying to stick to a low calorie diet. What I have been doing is mixing water, unsweetened almond milk, and this flavored peanut butter), shaking it up and drinking it like a nice little smoothie. The only kind out of this 5 pack that I've tried so far is the banana bread flavor. Which I REALLY like - it even has soft little walnuts in it! Yum! The banana flavor shines but is not overpowering. I am going to drink the banana one first, and then try the others. I have several protein powders, supplements, meal replacements in queue, so I really do need to drink those first, but this is more of a fun one. What has been your impulse purchase lately?

My son and his girlfriend love that stuff! Great buy! My impulse purchase for the day was a few garden ornaments.

Ooh, that sounds really good. Was it HaloTop, or a different brand? I love peanut butter flavored things. I use PB2 (mostly, Great Value/Walmart's generic PB2) and I bought a big 50 serving container for like $11. I just wish it disintegrated into the milk/water better. Maybe I should blend it.

That's a lot But as long as you're enjoying them, that's fine. I would buy seaweed snack a lot. My favourite brand is Tao Kae Noi.

We tried some similar products before (the peanut powder), it was interesting but it was a long time ago.

Glad you got a good price for what you wanted! My impulse buying was dry aku or tuna. It's 23.99 a pound, but it is very light. This one was a bit too raw for my taste so baked it on 200° for 20 minutes. Now it's perfect.
