Asian Grocery Shopping

I went to the Asian supermarket this morning. My best friend and her husband collected me at home. The shop was about 30 minutes drive from where we live.
The Asian supermarket has many food from different Asian countries like Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, Korea, China and India but I have noticed that today, there were many Filipino food products lacking compared to the last time I went there. Maybe the shortage of Filipino products are due to the pandemic.
I have bought a sack of Jasmine Thai rice, 10 Kilos which costs 15€. More expensive than last December. I bought also Filipino soy sauce and vinegar, soybean sprouts, frozen grated cassava, frozen bittermelon or gourd, sesame oil, cornflour and some Korean instant soups to try.
My friend and I were lucky because there were only a few people shopping in the Asian supermarket. I was so tired from shopping that I took an hour nap this afternoon.
Have you been to an Asian supermarket? What have you bought in there?
The photo is the bacon pizza that I have baked yesterday by using my pastry crust which was almost expired. The pizza was delicious.
Thank you for reading. Have a nice new week.

Delicious looking pizza!! Most of our grocery stores have an Asian section, but nothing beats going to a Asian supermarket. I have not gone lately, but when I go, I tend to buy fruits and vegetables not found at regular grocery stores, dry noodles, any Asian pantry things (like condiments) that need to be restocked, snacks, and certain seafood items. We have about 3 nearby Filipino grocery stores that I have not gone to lately - I should go!

That is good that you have nearby @DocAndersen. I have not tried Thai Green Chili mix. What do you make from it? Thank you.

It`s been long time since I visited Asian Supermarket because it`s far away from our place. You`re lucky to be near the Asian Shop.

Yes, we are lucky indeed. Thank you @m_audrey6788. Is the Asian shop in Frankfurt far from you?

There are no Asian stores close enough for me. There is one or two downtown I think.
Enjoy your day Thelma.

The pizza looks yummy. Yes, we have a nice Asian Market. It’s been over a year since we went to it.

I haven't been in an Asian supermarket in decades. We don't have one around us. Bacon pizza sounds wonderful.

I'm sorry it's more expensive. I'm certain you're right that it's because of the pandemic. I hope the next time you go you find those foods you couldn't find yesterday.
I've never been to an Asian market. I think there's one here.

No I’ve never been to their market and I’m not sure we have them here. I know that sesame oil is the healthiest oil of all oils.
