What was for supper and my husband thinks I live in a cave

We were going to have unbreaded fish for supper but it had a section of ice frozen in one side so I threw it out. Must have had that longer than I thought. Instead we had hamburgers. My husband wanted baked potatoes made in the microwave and began instructing me to make sure I poked holes into it, which he's told me before. I had to remind him that I've been cooking for years and know full well how to make potatoes in the oven or microwave. In fact I've probably been cooking longer than him since I'm five years older. I was going to make low carb Mac and cheese but only had the hamburger and an apple and celery and dip. I might munch on some low carb tortilla chips too. He didn't tell me I lived in a cave but if you don't know something that basic you must be hiding somewhere don't you think? What was for supper at your house?

My husband never cooks, but he often comes to the kitchen trying to tell me what I should do.. he gets the bad look.

@MarshaMusselman No, he has always been like that, he has to come and tell me "be careful with the glame... pay attention not to get hurt by the hot oil" things like that.

@LadyDuck I had a hard time not doing that when I had someone drive my van yesterday. I didn't think I should drive in slippers so didn't. She was quite close to an old coffee that drive slower than the speed limit. But I bit my tongue figuratively.

Maybe as they get older it gets worse and they forget we've been cooking all along without help up to now.

That gey me when my husband was here, we didn't like the same foods, but I would try to hr fair and cook what he liked and he would tell me how to cook. I'd just let him do it.

Lol. He wasn't thinking. He also likes to tell me the best way to get where we going when I'm driving and we live in my home town. He's from another state.

If hubs said that to me, I’d stick a fork in him. I always use a fork in my baked potatoes if I microwave them. If so, I finish them in the oven or hubs puts puts them in the bbq grill. I like the skins well done.

Funny how others tell us how to cook. Maybe he was just trying to help.

Maybe he thinks my age is catching up with me? I give him a hard time when he does that but this isn't the first time either.
