The Phrase that Cannot Go Away in My Mind

This morning, the neighbors were singing a song and keep on shouting the phrase, 'I believe in God.' There is nothing wrong with this phrase because I do believe in Him. But I do not believe with these neighbors of mine. As they said, 'Practice what you preach.' I am sorry to say that they are false prophets of God. The reason is they are not sensitive to others' welfare. How do you use the words of God? How do you feel when seeing a false prophet? Image Credit: 46plfh1jxox53vbytp18rxwz-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com

Sad to say but you are right. Some people are just using those phrase just to show others that they are religious but they are not practicing it. Whenever I see those types I just keep quiet , because I am not in the position to judge them. I commit mistakes too but I am not forcing myself to show others that I am religious.

I am not going to drop the name of this religion of theirs. All I know, they are always claiming that they are the chosen ones. At the back of my mind, I have a big doubt about it. They are just cheating themselves to be so religious without practicing the words of God.

@iKONICNoona I hope they will not do anything that will make us feel disrespected. For me, they had violated the rule of doing social gatherings without any protective gear.

It is possible to worship God in the silence our hearts. But there are other religions who praise and worship God with loud voices and instruments forgetting to consider the feelings of their neighbors.

That's the point, my friend. They cannot even stop themselves. Social gathering is not allowed and it is clearly against the health protocol here. They are not thinking at all.

I hate those who have to preach all the time. Religion is a personal matter, those who want to listen to a preacher go to the church. I consider most of the others false prophets.

You said it on point. A house is not a church for every member to come in. That's the reason why I never dared to talk with these neighbors. I considered them the real false prophets in the community.

@Shavkat It is like I cannot swing my arms around in the name of freedom unmindful of others near me. We should be mindful of others' sensitivities.

@Shiva49 I am so mindful of those people who are insensitive. They need to stop before hurting others.

I think I know this faith. But I don't wanna say anything..But I know what you feel. That music that can break your eardrum is pretty annoying. You can sing and praise God without SHOUTING.

I just cannot understand why they need to keep on shouting about God. It sounds like they are the ones who will be saved by God. When they came here to our neighborhood, we are so patient enough to deal with their activities.

It just happens unintentionally. Because most of the times I really don't like to talk about religion.

@Shavkat That is to play safe as well. Even politics, I do not like discussing it nor involve myself into it.

@cherigucchi I am not into politics, too. I had seen some videos on YouTube and a woman keeps on bashing other people. Too much to bear dealing with her personal opinions.

I think that's pretty harsh calling them false prophets because they are excited about God's Word and shout it so all can hear. It's true they could do it at a better time of day.

Well, it is how I feel about these people. It is not a good place to worship God and clearly violating the health protocols here.

@Shavkat You can worship God everywhere. God isn't confined to a building or place.

@just4him I agree, but it is not the right place for me to do it. They are doing this worshipping in the middle of the night. Don't get me wrong. It is fine if they can do it during the daytime.

Abraham Lincoln said, “You can fool all of the people some of the time; you can fool some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time.” But some think they can fool God! Big mistake. I don't like to fool my conscience which I believe is connected to my creator.

That's the best description for this kind of person. They are not only deceiving themselves but other people as well.

Actually one reason that I'd no longer have a religious affiliation nowadays and just communicate and pray directly as a believer of Him.

I must admit I am not a religious person. The matter most is that I have God in my heart and pray to Him in silence.

I agree with you. Many are using these phrases but truthfully, they are not practicing what they have learned. For me, action speaks louder than words,

I also considered them having two faces. At some point, they are good actors too good to be true. It does not show through their actions.
