Not a Monday anymore

But here’s another variety of Monstera plant for monstera Monday. It’s called Monstera Borsigiana.
This leaf just unfurled, it took a week for this one to fully unfurl and I was happy to see it so beautiful yesterday.
I got this plant in February i think with just two leaves. I thought that it might not survive as it wasn’t looking really healthy but now it has produced a new leaf.
Every plant parent knows how it feels to have a plant survive and grow into a healthy one. It is our kind of high.

It's still Monday where I live. Happy Monday to you, too. It's a nice plant.

I found a plant like that growing very happily in a corner of our garden, (next to a window here). Funny because we had lived in the current house for about 4 years before we saw those pretty leaves showing. (No clue who planted it, no clue why we didn't notice it before.)

That could be a Monstera Deliciosa and not a Borsigiana. They both look the same and the difference is only in the petiole. In some countries they grow in the wild. But not here because it’s not a native of our country.

@toniganzon I tried searching for them in wiki but giving up after a while. I just know that this one is about 1.7m tall, and with giant leaves. Each leaf is very pretty, with fancy pattern, and each leaf is giant, width about a metre wide (or wider). I am a bit worried if that plant would affect the house since it seems to grow adjacent to the side window.

This Monstera has a greater chance of survival now that its growing new healthy leaves. Every plant parent's fear would be to see a leaf or two turning yellow and lifeless.

The common reason why leaves turn yellow is overwatering.

That is a very lovely plant. I am glad it is growing well, I had many houseplants in Latvia and they always grew well when I kept a radio playing near them all day and night,

Never really done that but I believe my plants are spoiled. I do talk to them and tell them they’re all my favorite and they’re really beautiful.

The Borisgiana isn’t as large as the monstera deliciosa.
