Why do you really exist?

Sometimes people wonder why they were born! The question goes to everyone because some think they were born to worship God only, others think they are to terrorise others and take their things. Some think they were born to serve others; others find it hard to serve and they think accumulating fortune is their fate; Others think they exist to humiliate other people; others sit and wait for other people to work for them. Such a question is very challenging and sometimes many just ignore it because the reality they don't know why they exist. However for me I think if everybody knew why they exist, there would be no misunderstandings and suffering among people. Such a question remains unto you, do you really know why you exist??

@Shavkat It is one of the works of God that you were born. You were planned to live and serve Him.

I was born because my mother had me and will exist until I die. Between those 2 moments things happen. Right now, for instance, the most important thing in my life is the pandemia. It has changed all my plans for over a year.

The main thing you do between those to moments is the reason you do exist

Existence is a given. It is up to you to do what you will with the existence, but if you follow God's will for your life, you will fit in with the grander plan, and be of benefit to the whole then too. Follow God, by simply loving life, as best you can do so.

@Belexhanns Most of us need some type of guidance at first to do it whatsoever.

According to me, we really have no clear answer though people are free to believe what they want to. I like to be a co-creator in the sense to add value to the extent possible and positivity too amid the pervading gloom. I have enough work to do then! We need to think of our creator, there is only one, and we are interconnected though we like to build fences and divisions. This pandemic has proved we are just the same and equally vulnerable.

@Belexhanns I also wonder had our parents married someone else? Would we have been born? According to me, these are beyond our ken with no answers at all. However having taken our existence here, we have an inner prompt to do what is right. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you is a good guide.

It may seem unanswerable question because you may wonder why is it that among the many sperms produced;its yours that managed to hit the target and formed you and all the others lost who would also exist if your sperm was not fast enough......

@Fa_Maverick OK would any one except your family be affected for your absence, that's the reason for your existence

I exist because people whom I believe to exist say that I do. If nobody believed in my existence, then I probably wouldn't exist.

@Belexhanns If my [u]absence[/i] were to make a positive impact on people, I would have to have done something really bad like murder or theft or terrorism. Would you consider that a 'reason for my existence'? All of this discussion assumes (rather glibly) that 'existence' is not an illusion - a sort of collective dream from which we may one day awake.

Let me ask you, would your absence among those people make an impact on their lives?then it would make a positive impact;then you know the reason for your existence!

@owlwings you have not got my point, assuming you leave your area now forever for another place, what would be the reactions of the people except your family?that's the reason why you exist....

I believe that the human being is in constant search of the purpose of life, perhaps the meaning of life is to look for meaning. I exist because I don't know what I exist for and that terrifies me, that's why I continue to exist because it also scares me not to exist.
