Perched on our water tank this kite is a loner. Its main goal is to look for prey. Looking at this image you will agree that it is all set on searching for its prey perched on top of our water tank which is quite high. It can have a full view of the entire surroundings. Wonder what its goal is. Do you have kites in your area?

The bird looks more like an eagle. Are kites and eagles same? Eagles are here in our vicinity. They are seen flying here sometimes. They are constantly in search of food.

It's a beautiful and graceful bird of prey, I think that it's a good sign that nature and eco-balance is thriving well in where you are at.

@louievill It sure is subjective but when birds come to swim in the birdbath I see them just enjoying.

@allknowing maybe " friendly" in the animal world is subjective and based on human perception. Birds of prey or other animals have a purpose in the ecosystem, perhaps with the kite it's to control the population of certain species of animals

That's a great photo. Birds of prey always look very menacing.

They truly do and they do things that categorise them as such.

Such creatures were created to struggle in order to live, I think they are everywhere
