Day 254 Promise 722 1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. (KJV) Many people doubt God loves them. They look at their lives and expect God to be like people they know. How can God love them when no one else does? John told the believers they knew God loved them because He laid down His life for them. Then told them they needed to do the same. As Christians, do you know how you lay down your life for others? You lay down your life when you put others ahead of yourself. You lay aside your wants and needs to care for others' needs. When you do, God promises to take care of your needs. Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (KJV) Proverbs 19:17 He who hath pity upon the poor lends unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. God gave you His most precious gift, His Son, Jesus. He laid down His life so you could live with Him for eternity. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. When given a choice of your life or someone else’s, what is your choice? Two days ago, was the anniversary of one of the worst school shootings in America, the Columbine massacre. Two girls died because they refused to deny Jesus as their Savior and Lord. They chose to lay down their lives for Him. Their stories became headline news. I’m sure they aren’t the only ones to put their faith on the line. What are you willing to lay down so others will know the love of Jesus? Let’s pray: Father, help me show Your love to those around me by thinking about others before I think about myself. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. We should do service to mankind and that's a way to serve God and be close to him. No matter what the situation in life is, I have a strong faith that God loves me and He would take care of me. His plans are beyond my comprehension but He knows what is best for everyone.

@just4him Thank you. I am happy that today I had some energy to do cleaning of my room and do some cooking for my family. I am yet to get my original energy level. But that should also come slowly.

I agree 100%. We should others first before ourselves. Leaders eat last. I am ready to die for Jesus Christ.

It isn't always easy to put someone before ourselves but Jesus did and we are to imitate Him as His children. Good lesson. Have a blessed day.
