Do you make a yearly General Check up at this time of pandemic?

Germany

Hello Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters Before the pandemic I make sure that I get to see a General Doctor to check on my health. Due to pandemic now I`m not so sure if I can still do that yearly. Last year was not able to see my doctor but this year I did made it. So far my health is good I just need to lower down my sugar intake. It is not in critical rate but my doctor said it is better to control it early as much as possible. I also let my doctor check on my vitamin D because of that I found out that I need to get more Vitamin D. I know it is hard nowadays to get a schedule but we need to know our health early before it became critical. Right? What do you think my dear mylotters? Is it possible to have a yearly General Check up at this time of pandemic in your place? I hope you can share it with me here Have a great day and Happy mylotting Photo: google

You are doing good. I never go for checkups. I had only been going when I'm sick. I really don't like hospitals but I always finish my medicine if given. Currently because of COVID, I pray not to be sick because I don't want to go to hospital. The hospital has too many patients now

With doctors this comes down to where you live. We have no issues making appointments to get in with a doctor. All three of my kids have had a yearly check up, my husband had his, I just finished mine last week. My vitamin D was low so I increase my dose with what the doctor told me to. It’s starting to get sunny and warm here so I can sit out side and get some natural D.

No. I have to go to their clinic. They have an office not in the hospitals. It is much safe to get a schedule from a doctor who have an office for general check up. Me too. I`m starting to get Vitamin D from the sun. Thank you

@m_audrey6788 I didn’t say anything about a hospital. Not all doctors office are at a hospital. All I say is Thai depends on where you live. Doctor office are always going to be open but with whom and how is different depending where you live. My kids have all had a yearly check up as required by law same with me abs my husband. None of us went to the hospital the exams just the regular primary doctor which are located in office buildings. My last visit was last week at my husband work. Had my Pap done. Got to go to lunch with my husband.

Been seen by doctor as usual. When pandemic started, be telemed. Then in person. Next month I'll be there in person again. Had tests done - lung scan then this Thursday bone density test. All reports go to doctor. September hearing test. All test in person. They checked temperature & make sure masked. No worries.

I have to have a blood test every year to check that my medication is correct for my underactive thyroid. I did get my blood test last year in July, and I'm sure I'll be able to get one this year too. If you need to get more vitamin D then drink soy milk. It also has vitamin B12 in it too.

That`s good. At least you can monitor your thyroid problem. I drink soy milk and have a lot of B12 already. I only have problem with my Vitamin D because we don`t have sun on winter time

I don't have the body check every year. Perhaps I am worried about it so I prefer to avoid it. Especially after the pandemic, I have more reasons not to go to the hospital if it is not necessary.

I would only go to the hospital for necessary purposes. Not a good idea to visit it unless I require to do that. Hospital is not really safe right now.

I avoid going to the doctor or to the hospital in this pandemic. It's better to consult them online and take medicines they prescribe.

My aunt went to the doctor and dentist religiously, followed their orders to a tee, and still lost teeth, then lost her life (at age 46) to cancer. So, I have always only gone when I needed more help than I could provide to myself to heal or feel better. I can't replace my own knees or drain the cysts that are on the sides of my knees, and those things needed to be done a year ago. So, hopefully I will be able to get those done soon.

To be honest I don’t go out at all plus it’s quarantine in Mauritius. I believe it’s safer to stay at home. Every month just for 1 day for Get out to buy groceries and pay bills and that’s it. I make sure to wear my mask and take all the safety precautions.

We can't have that here now. It's like right now if we go to see any doctor for a health checkup we might pickup covid on the way. It's better to stay at home and protect yourself.

Thank you I`m not young anymore too. That`s why I needed a check up to monitor my health status. I don`t like to be in the hospital for being sick and add up to the busy works of many doctors during this pandemic It is really hard to get sick nowadays

Last June it's hard to consult as that was the time when businesses just resume operations and I only had online consultation. This Feb and recently were all face to face.

Yes. I also was not able to have a general check up last year. I don`t like online consultation but if there no other way. I guess. I will too. How was your experience with your doctor? Did your doctor check your blood?
