Instead of Django (2017), I watched The Raven because it became free. It is the 1935 version and I watched it on the Roku channel. I think I had seen some of it before. It has Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Lester Matthews, Irene Ware, Samuel S. Hinds, Spencer Charters, and Ian Wolfe in it.
Big Warning: there is a little bit of violence.
In this movie, a woman gets in a car accident and none of the doctors can fix her. Her father pleas for a surgeon to fix her. He does. The woman is engaged to marry another man, but her father thinks his daughter is in love with the surgeon. The surgeon is a lover of Edgar Allen Poe's work. (I am too, but I'm not as crazy as the surgeon though.) He decides to change a man's face to be ugly so he would kill the woman's father for him. He invites the woman, her boyfriend, her father, and four friends. He hooks up the father to a table with a pendulum (Pit and the Pendulum) above. And he puts the woman and her boyfriend in a room that the walls squeeze in. The man the surgeon had changed ends up saving the couple and the father is freed. He puts the surgeon in the room.
I liked this movie. Next week I will watch Django (2017).

I like suspenseful scenes. Sounds like a good movie to watch. What I like about movies like, it will force my brain to think. Like okay, what will happen next - and who will die first - questions in my mind while watching.
