Hopefully This Plan Will Work

I know I have said I was going to try this diet plan, or that diet plan, and so on....but I always struggle around day 4 or 5 and give up.
Anyways, next week I am going to try it a little differently.
I am going to cut back on the carbs, but not drop down to "Keto" amount of carbs. Going to start with the amount the ADA recommends - which is 45 carbs per meal, and 15 for a snack (I know it won't help my blood sugar too much but it is a start).
Then, the next week I will drop them down to say 30 carbs per meal. The following week down 5 or 10 more...and so on til I get down to the 20 carbs per day.
I think jumping straight to only 20 carbs a day was too hard for me to do at once...so I need to get back into it slowly.
When my sugars are not spiking to over 200....then I will start adding exercise back in too. I didn't like working out and seeing my sugar go to over 300.
Anyways, I just wanted to update on that....I know some have read my food posts in the past and might have wondered why I haven't been sharing them.
Do you think going back into it slowly is a good plan?

Well, I really want to lose the 90 to 100 pounds....and get my blood sugars good again....especially by the end of July when I go back to the doctor.
I hope it will, probably by June I will be back to my "Keto" macros if I keep dropping them weekly

@DocAndersen I thought it was time to give that a try instead of just jumping straight in. I don't even know how many carbs I am consuming at the moment so dropping down to only 20 a day would make me sick....so I think starting at 45 per meal is better.

@MommyOfEli2013 I feel like I have to restart every day and just take it one day at a time.

I don't want to keep restarting though, it gets too overwhelming...

@paigea Well if that works for you, then that is good to do that. I don't think I could restart every day...would be overwhelming.

I've followed the ADA diet for 10 years, my glucose level is always good. The adjustment was very simple.

I hope it will, this is the last idea I have. If it doesn't, then I give up. But I see by June I will probably be back to "Keto".
