Its Time for her to leave

I am not sure whether to be happy or sad about it. My big sister who ahs been living with me for years will be leaving this month. My big brother is going to renovate our old house and he plans to give my big sister her share. I am happy because finally she can have her own place and we are going to have more space in our house when she leaves. Even then, it makes me sad at the same time because I have been used to having her around helping me a lot in the house. She also feels the same way but 'd rather not to show her my sadness. I just reassured her that our house is still open to her any time she wants to visit or stay. (photo is mine)

It is a good news. Every person is entitled for a place of his own. However close you may be, she can not consider your house as her own. She can always visit you whenever she feels so.

You hit the right words. Truly it is also a comfort on her part having a place of her own eventually,

It's sad but you can still visit her and her to you. Perhaps it's time for her to be independent.

Very photo. Mixed feelings happen a lot. My sister-in-law used live with us. I felt the same way when she moved out.

However she had spent the day with you, it was certainly difficult to let go of the habit.

I think your kids are old enough to help with chores. They will also learn time management while learning the basic chores. I'm glad your older brother thought of her and her future. Is she single?

Good for her to start another chapter of her life. Just keep in touch from time to time and it will be highly appreciated by you sister.
