Yesterday's Walk

Hello everyone, how are you all doing? Well I hope. Anyways, yesterday I was forced to get a walk in. It was time to go get Eli from school, and somebody was parked in a way that was blocking our car in. Later, we found out who it was and they were gone by the time we got back. The walk to get to Eli's school is about 15 minutes (depending how fast I walk/jog). I was in pain about 5 minutes in. So, by the end I could barely walk. My doctor says I have scoliosis, he believes (although I haven't gotten any official tests). That would make sense as to why I was in pain. I used to always get that back pain when walking too and it went away after I lost 75 pounds. So, hopefully if I lose the weight I need to again it will help with the back pain. I did get about 30 minutes of walking in, even if I was in pain.

I couldnt jog now to save my life. Not even of I lost 75lbs. Can I ask if after you lost 75lb did you put it all back on again? I lose, then put on, them lose, then put on...

I could barely jog lol. I once wanted to get into running....but definitely couldn't now. I lost the weight 11 years ago now....and over that time I did put it back on I can lose 15 or 20 it seems but then I gain it all back. So I hear you there.

Thank you, just now you know one reason why I don't walk for exercise. I will be in extreme back pain. Dancing/kickboxing don't cause the back pain thankfully.

It would be great if you could start the walking again bit by bit and build it from there.

It's okay, my own fault for gaining those 75 pounds back that I had lost 10 years ago. Going back on a diet Monday....starting with higher carbs (but still less than now) and working my way down slowly to Keto again.

I'm sorry your walk was so painful. I have spinal stenosis and scoliosis as well. My max walking is about 50 feet. Have a great day.

@MommyOfEli2013 As long as you can still exercise, that's great.

@LindaOHio Well the back pain is why I don't like to go for walks lol. But I can dance for 2 hours straight and usually my feet are just sore lol

It is okay, it is what it is. Not sure what the first is, but sorry you have the same thing. Not sure how I can dance without it hurting like that.

@MommyOfEli2013 it means you have to start a good diet and employ regular exercises to burn down excess calories. Wishing you all the best
