Do you feel worried when anyone in the family get sick?

Honestly I do especially if it's a child. I wouldn't feel worried if it's me who get sick because I know exactly how I feel and I can manage myself. Niece's kid complained tonight of not feeling well before dinner. I placed my palm at his forehead to check if he's hot and I notice he was somehow so I looked for the thermometer to determine the child's temperature. It registered at 37.6°C. He also said he's feeling a mild headache. Her mother gave him paracetamol before he went to bed. After 4 hours my niece noticed that his temp rise again and that time was 38.8°C. She gave him another dose of paracetamol. Now I can't return to sleep and it's already past 3 in the morning. I think I'll just monitor the kid's condition until daylight comes to see if we need to go for check up.

No as a mom I don’t worry when my kids get sick or when anyone gets sick. Why because it’s part of life people will get sick. Yes I don’t want them not well and I will do what I can for those close to me to make them feel better but that’s it. If I worry then all it does is cause stress.

Unless it's my daughter that gets sick I wouldn't know about it. We haven't seen any of our family since Covid started. I hope your relative feels better very soon. I hate it when a kid is sick.

My kids are grown, but when they were smaller I did monitor them,, now with the pandemic I would call s doctor.

I agree that when they're small, you can not just sleep without checking they're OK.

It's stressful because you can't feel at ease until they're OK.

It's more stressful as they can't properly explain what's hurting them, so it's harder to help them getting better.

That's right. It's not easy to just come to the hospital during this time.

I hope the child is better soon. It is natural for parents to be concerned and worried. I did when I had my son.

Thank you. We're looking after for his fever to go away without the need of going to the hospital.
