Good morning, good evening everybody on mylot. It is 9 o clock in the morning of Friday, 30th April. It is a bright sunny day. Warm as well at 28 degrees centigrade.
We are on lockdown again but just for 4 days up to Monday and not that severe as in the previous time. The coronavirus situation in our state is also very serious as in the rest of the country but the authorities have no intention to impose a strict lockdown for longer duration. The experts feel that there should be strict restrictions on mass gatherings like marriages. People also feel that the casinos which are presently in operation should be closed down. These are super spreaders of the virus.
Overall situation is very bad and frightening. There is no guarantee of availability of beds for serious patients. Hope the situation will improve soon.
How is coronavirus situation in your area?

I think the authorities are getting it wrong big time my friend.
People need to have as little contact with other people for a while.
4 days is a joke.
With the numbers we see in India it needs a full scale lockdown whilst accelerating the vaccine roll out.
How many people will die of they don't stop the spread soon?

I agree with you my friend but the problem is these lockdowns affect the poor people the most. There are many here who are depending on their daily wages on day to day basis. Government tries to give free essential items to some but that is not sufficient. Overall very tricky situation for which time only has got the solution.

I know it is not easy to balance the needs of everyone.
But it is the poorest most vulnerable who are most likely to die.
Boris Johnson made comments about rather.seeing thousands of bodies piled up in the streets than having another lockdown.

I really don't know, but I also don't pay attention to mass media. They can say whatever they want, weather there's truth to it or not.

The coronavirus in my area is easing up since our governor is allowing persons to go outside wearing masks as a precaution.
