Spanish moss time!! You know, nothing says “the South” like Spanish moss. It’s neither Spanish nor “moss.” It’s not a parasite, either: it’s a flowering plant that lives on its own. It’s a botanical relative of the pineapple. And it’s oh, so southern. I took the above photo in Savannah, where streets are lined with oaks covered with Spanish moss. Simply beautiful.

Ohm those dangling things . I have learned a new thing today. (One of my neighbors has a tree like that. It puzzled me greatly - until today.)
