Affected by virus, suffering, news of deaths. News that make one feel sad and despondent. So many news that sound bad or over analysis on why Covid spread so fast in India over the last month or so. Sea of negativity all around. Yet positive news also comes in. First of all a large number of people are recovering too daily. Second we had the case of a 85 year old Covid patient who gave up his bed at a hospital to a younger man who was in a bad condition and had got to the hospital along with his wife. The younger man was unable to get a bed. However, the 85 year old person gave up his bed so that the younger person could get a bed and saved. Even after being advised, the old man left for his home. He did not survive long unfortunately but helped save a younger one's life. Great deeds do not need a big person to do it but a big heart and mind. A big applaud to this 85 years old although I would have liked him to live longer.

And no media reported this and many even tried to twist the news. All because he belonged to a group and you don't go well with their ideology. Even in this situation, media is being selective about reporting. News of minority community helping is circulated. But what about so many temples converted into covid centres and priests serving people there. RSS never gets a positive headline by any news media though it's one organization that's always there in service of people.

@arunima25 People bring in communal angle in many places. Nobody thinks of being an Indian first and other things later.

Wow. I applaud the 85 year old. I haven't watched the news for more than 1 week now but I will watch this week for an hour. There is so much bad news nowadays

@mildredtabitha Yes, that is why I am now selective about what I read in news.

How wonderful that the elderly man sacrificed himself for the younger one. I'm sure he's gone straight to heaven.

@JudyEv Yes he did a justified action. Instead of being selfish, he took the right step.
