Ice Candy

Starting the month of March until May, it is the time of hot months here in my county, the Philippines. It is a season also of ice candy here during the days we consider summer. Others iced desserts are also popular. The fruit flavored ice candy will not just aim to quench the thirst but also allow us to enjoy the sweet and fruity flavors of fruits in season during these months. Among of my favorite flavors are avocado and purple yam but young coconut and mango would be fine too. Photo is borrowed from Google. CTTO.

This is a favorite of mine. Of course, ice candies are now replaced by those ice popsicles that can be bought from groceries and supermarkets.

@allen0187 not much but it still sold at sari sari stores. We have a neighbor here selling it and she has a supplier and their ice candy is really delicious.

That reminds me of my childhood when my grandmother would prepare lots of it to sell at my Aunt's mini-store. I remember that my Grandmother would work for so many hours a day just to fulfill the orders of my aunt who sells them in their place. I also help them from time to time in exchange for one or two of those they made.

@ZedSmart Yes that is true but sadly, I seldom see that in my place anymore. I guess there are many alternatives to it already being sold in the market that are popular already.
