A Shrewish Girl Made My Blood Boil

The stupidity of a mom makes her child shrewish during class. She is eating bread or something and I am uncomfortable teaching like this. I just told her to eat it first before having the class per se. Eventually, she stopped. This is what I feel so irritated about having no manners. As I expected, she gave me a poor evaluation, which I don't care about. The course of action is to give feedback with a photo looking at her food. By the way, 'toink' refers to a stupid girl. Do you think it is a good manner? Image Credit: pbs.twimg.com

No but children are unpredictable and childish, so have to deal with them. I feel for you. You did the right thing. Take care

There is a time to be mischievous and the like. If the mother cannot do it, then I am the one who will cut her pointed horns on her forehead.

am sure working for a company is always stressful. They will give this evaluation and so on. Though in my case, if the student ate while studying, I would not mind.

I lost hope for the company's discretion in dealing with rude students. They just don't care. Since I can feel that a student will fail me, then take the chance of showing the right thing to do. For me, I will call their attention to eating before the class per se. It is fine if they don't stop. Next time, I will do it again until they will know that it is not the right thing to do.

Definitely not. Hopefully, the poor evaluation gets overturned.

It can be overturned if the other students will give me good scores.

@allen0187 It does happen. Even if I have a low evaluation, I still have my 'suki.'

Definitely not a good manner. Parents should step up on this matter.

The mother is not that keen enough to know what is right in this situation.

@cherigucchi I agree with you. Sometimes they blame the virtual teachers instead

@Shavkat So sad that parents are not sensitive enough and don't care.

Did she offer to share the bread with you? No, that was very disrespectful to you and shouldn't be tolerated.

Even if she offered me or not, it is still a class. She still needs to respect me In their country, they are not allowed to eat inside their classrooms.

@DaddyEvil Want a sample? Here it goes. I cannot understand why some moms allow their kids to eat while having a class.

@Shavkat True... Then why does her mother allow her to eat while taking your class?

And she's the one giving you a poor evaluation where you should be the one to give her bad conduct as well for her disobedience to your rules. This is just unfair that they can give bad remarks on you while you cannot instill discipline in your online class.

I did put some feedback about her during the class. I don't care if the company will reject it. At least, there is a record that she did something unacceptable to my own discretion.

@MarshaMusselman Some kiddies are too young to do this. Besides the point, they can be subjective.

@Shavkat the mom was giving the evaluation for your teaching of her own child? That sounds odd.

I hope that my current company will do something about this, but I also doubt it.
