A bystander whose name is not known is being called an angel or hero for risking his life to jump into a bay in Ocean Springs Maryland after the infant was hurled from an auto that was involved in an auto accident on a state highway bridge. The accident involved four autos on Route 90. The auto where the infant was thrown from the auto into the bay was halfway over the guardrail. Thanks to the efforts of the Ocean City Fire and Ocean City Police, they managed to get the auto that was hanging on the guardrail back on the highway while the road was closed during the time of the accident which took a few hours. There were eight injured persons in the auto accident including the infant. Seven of them were taken to area hospitals where their conditions are not known at this time even though I am hopeful that they will make a full recovery soon. The cause of the accident is being investigated by the authorities. All I can say about the stranger who jumped into the Maryland Bay to save the infant is that he or she is a real life hero.
