Happy Birthday to three baby robins in my yard. I have been writing about the beautiful blue eggs I found last week.
A few days ago, I was able to get a photo of the female robin on the nest. I knew it wouldn't be long.
Today I took a peak and there they were sitting in the nest. They open their mouths at any sound when they are this young.
Looks like they were born today. Eyes are not opened yet.
The momma was talking to me, so I only got one quick photo. So very excited.
Photo is mine. ©CarolDM

That is so precious, isn't it? We have found a few empty nests here, so guess some are getting ready to lay eggs!

I've seen many robins in the yards but have never seen baby ones before. The robin is michigan's state bird.

@MarshaMusselman I always do this with nests I find. I was only there a few seconds. She and the babies will be fine. I also check to make sure no insects or anything that would endanger the babies are in the nest.

Wow. This is so inspiring and has touched my heart. I like how the baby's mouth are open to receive from the mother who has gone to search for food

You have a little family! As many birds as our around here I rarely see nests. I wish I did.
