You only live once... how many times in your life time have you uttered this phrase?
I have always lived by 'carpe diem' which in my mind is the same as YOLO. In my mind, 'carpe diem' is class while YOLO is swag. LOL! YOLO is the cooler and younger version of 'carpe diem'.
'Carpe Diem' is Latin for 'seize the day' which basically how I live my life. YOLO wasn't in my vocabulary radar until after I listened to Drake's song 'The Motto' back in 2011. Most researchers attributed the popularity of the term YOLO because of that Drake song. Anyway, 'carpe diem' is tattooed across my chest, just under the collar bone. It is smaller than what I wanted after I got it but to my excuse I had the Latin saying 'carpe diem, carpe noctem carpe vitam'.
Accompanying photo is actually that of my friend's car. We were on the way to a weekend get together which featured lots of YOLO activities such as zip lining, bungee jumping, sand dune buggy racing, and vodka yoga among others.
Anyone of you myLotters live by the phrase YOLO? I'd love to hear about it.

I think the older we get, we appreciate how short life is getting. I don't want to waste however much time left that I have.

True that. We want to spend time with people who are dear to us. Use this time to do things that make us happy.

I live with those saying. Life is so short, so live life the most out of it. If you had the chance to be happy or whatever makes you happy and if the time comes, savor the moment, do what you love, go to places that makes you happy, eat the foods that really satisfy you, be with the friends that you want to spend most of your time! Seize the day one step at a time!

Well, I've treated the pandemic as such. Things that are precations are things parents have been trying to teach their kids for years. Now the govornment has made a panic about it, people are willing to react as such. So yeah, that's not me.
