Hard Lessons

I just went into my old account, the one I had set up for Little Miss when I actually had her, and erased hundreds of inappropriate pictures she had uploaded to the cloud, I had hoped her Mother would keep a better eye on her but I guess not, the photos are now gone and she’s blocked off the account. I’ve tried to talk to her Mom about how dangerous the things she’s doing are is, but when a Child has absolutely no supervision I guess this is what you get. I worry that something bad is going to happen before her Mom realizes I’m trying to keep her safety in mind, but I don’t know.p I’m glad I was able to delete the pics and block her from the kids account, it was definitely necessary. For those who pray, please pray her Mother takes these issues a little more seriously, because what she’s doing can be dangerous…

That's the problem with the older generation. They don't see the need to supervise what children do online. I hope her mom gets the clue, and sooner rather than later.

I was absolutely shocked when I realized what she was doing. Her Mother is only a couple years my senior and I’ve warned her again and again, I feel like I’m talking to a wall

@Michellekidwell I understand how you feel. I was probably one of a few people in my generation who took internet safety seriously as a kid, and was tought how to be safe online at a young age. My sisters of course, freaked out when they came in and saw me online. I knew what to take seriously and what not to. I never (even to this day) give out any personal info I don't have to. Even on here. I'm willing to post here and get paid, because all they need is my e-mail address.

@kaylachan I've always taken it seriously as well, and have talked to Little Miss about the dangers, even watching documentaries with her and explaining why we don't do there things...

That's crazy, yeah she definitely needs a schooling in that department. They actually say once in the cloud it will always be in the cloud whether you delete it or not. Why I never use those things. I means its deleted from public eyes, but they still have what ever people store in there and actually how law enforcement solves a lot of crimes because what people stored in the cloud at one time.

@Michellekidwell Yeah its something not many people seem to think about. These are a lot different times than when you and I were kids. Can get in trouble without even leaving the house.

I know, it's not deleted permanently I just didn't want her having access to the pics. I wish her Mother would take her online safety more seriously...She's twelve the things I saw made me cringe and I'm in my forties...

Good to know that you were able to delete the photos and able to block the account. Supervision of parents on the kid is always essential otherwise a kid starts going on the wrong path. Hope her parents understand it.

This is very shocking to me. It sounds like Little Miss is getting to be out of control. She definitely needs more supervision by her mother.

It really is, I’ve always been open with her about the dangers online, unfortunately she’s testing boundaries and her Mother just isn’t listening to my concerns…
