The Swiss Guards

On the way to the hospital, I was telling my daughter a story about the investiture of the Swiss Guards that happens annually on the 6th of May.
Told my daughter that the Swiss Guards is the oldest, since 1506, and smallest army in the world. The Swiss Guards protect the Pope.
Mentioned also how knowledgeable in self-defense and the Martial Arts the young soldiers are. Very flexible, they also engage in sports and the arts, and music.
Said that to be qualified, an applicant must be 18 to 30 years old, with a HS diploma or a degree, at least five feet seven inches tall, a Catholic, and of course, a Swiss citizen.
My daughter was quiet after I finished my narrative. Then she said, 'I think I'd like to be Pope.'

@eileenleyva Correct, the Pope took refuge in Castel Sant'Angelo. The Swiss Guard were annihilated in a delaying rearguard action, the Pope paid a ransom to the pillagers.
