Happy Monday Everyone! the sun is playing peek a boo this morning. We have some gray clouds and when the sun hides it looks like rain. I don't know if it's just going to be a cloudy day or if the sun will come out and stay out.
I'm a little bit chilly so I'm back to wearing my sweater. I know the heat came on during the night so it must have gotten pretty cold overnight.
Yesterday was a nice Mothers Day. Almost the whole family was here except for my son and his family. It was really nice to see my middle daughter and my two granddaughters. They haven't been here in more than 5 months. We had a nice day, did a zoom call with my son and his family so actually we all did get to see each other.
We had ice cream cake for dessert (my favorite!!) and I got some nice gifts.
One thing I got that I really wanted was a new shower head for my shower. I wanted one that had a removable handle so you can spray the water all over your body and not try to rinse off under the lame stream of water from the original shower head that I have. Maybe not the most exciting gift but I've gotten to the point where my wish list is pretty practical stuff these days.
Today life is back to normal.
A typical day of things to do around the house and tomorrow will be laundry day. I stripped my bed and will put on fresh sheets later today.
Since it's been chilly at nights I still have my heavier winter comforter on my bed. I really thought I'd be able to switch to the lighter weight one but I guess when I make my bed later the heavy one will go back on.
Right now I'm enjoying my coffee and thinking about what I want for breakfast.

I am glad you got to see most of your family, and I am sure you appreciated the gifts as well. Mine was decent. Friend took good care of me, although I would have preferred my son be around of course.

Oh I am so happy to hear that most of your family was with you yesterday.
That is so reassuring that we are going to come out of this.
We went out to our son's place, it was so sweet, I hardly have words for it.
We are still in a stay at home order, most places have areas roped off that are non-essential.
Greeting cards are non essential.
Our son, bless him, got a highlighter, just like a teenager would do, and made me a card.
Funny how precious that, and his own words so much more to me then any other card from a store could.
He ordered a box of assorted pasteries for me from a lady who is a baker and allows him a garage pick up out in their little remote village. Sweet gift from my dream come true sweetheart of a son.
My hubs made a delicious lasagna for supper for us, leftovers for the rest of the week too now.

@Marilynda1225 I always wanted to be the mother of a son, and I even had a name picked out long before I met my hubby. I wanted to name him Joey. I could not name him Joey, my hubby's oldest brother has a son with that same name.
Jonathon is literally my dream come true.

Ice cream cake sounds delicious. My Monday morning was rainy and cold. But in the afternoon it was sunny. This evening is much warmer

It was nice. I greeted my mom and had some chat. She was tired so we were not able to Video call yesterday

Those shower heads are great. I like the really hard spray on my back each morning. It really wakes me up. We have still been getting down to 37 some nights in Oregon and after an early heat bump (85) dropped beak to the low 70s.

The cake was a combination of vanilla and chocolate.

Its supposed to be warm here since it's spring but I guess Mother Nature didn't get the message
