No creek, but enjoy this picture of rain clouds

I eyed the sky as I was walking out the door. The further I walked the worse it began to look and so I turned around, marched back home and put away my phone. I then went back out and walked around the block. The first fat drop of rain landed around 100 yards (more or less) away from the house. I sprinted across the street and onto my road where I hastened my steps to reach home. No sooner than I walked in and got settled did it start to rain. I do feel slightly better than I did a few minutes ago, but wish I could have stayed out there longer to walk. What do you think of this photo?

I loved them too.. Passed a jogger on the way down this road so I wasn't the only one thinking of a walk before the storm.

@CarolDM This is true. I am wondering if we will get a stormier summer this year.

That's pretty cool with the road leading to the dark cloud area . Ah, so you got a quick run in instead of a walk .

@ScribbledAdNauseum That rain came down super fast! Can you imagine if you actually made it to the creek a little earlier and got caught in the pouring rain?

Luckily, I only had to run for a minute. I was only a minute from being drenched though. I walked in, took my shoes off, talked to the family and BAM rain started pouring.

@much2say I'd have been drenched! I think the building at the rec center closes at 4. I'd have had to duck under the little awning or make a beeline for the picnic area.

It did about twenty minutes after this pic was taken. I was able to get my walk in, but just barely.

You could have, if you didn't mind getting wet. At least you avoided a downpour at least.

@ScribbledAdNauseum My husband almost did, because we got a bit of a rain while he was driving home.

@kaylachan We always sit in the car if it's downpouring and wait for it to cease.

I took my phone home after taking this picture and then went walking. The first fat rain drop fell at the end of the road you see to the right. That's only two minutes from my house.

I was able to walk about 30 minutes before it started to rain. I was just glad I was only a minute from the house.

This is the way I walk every day. My fitbit marks this as about 8 minutes walk away from home.

You are braver than I. I wouldn't have even gone out with the skies looking like that.

I didn't go as far as I normally do. I kept watching the skies and the temperature changes.
