New York Police Department (NYPD) officer Alyssa Vogel is one of the best police officers on the force today since she used her experience as a police officer to rescue a 4 year old girl who was in Times Square with her parents, aunt and uncle who had been shot in her leg on Saturday. Officer Vogel who is a mom herself used a tourniquet that she had on her gun belt to place it around the area where the young girl was shot in an attempt to stop the bleeding. Officer Vogel with the assistance of Officer Sparta then checked the young girl to see if there were other wounds on her body before Officer Vogel carried the young girl to an ambulance near the area to be taken to a local hospital for treatment. The mom of the shooting victim went with her daughter inside the ambulance who took them to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries. I am sure that the young girl will recover from the shooting soon thanks to the actions of a brave police officer that rushed away from a danger zone to safety. It is a shame that people these days are not safe gathering in public places in New York City like Times Square.

That's great officer Sparta was able to help the girl out. I hope she will recovery. It is sad we can not go to places now without fearing being shot.
