When it's your Birthday but don't want workmates to know

My workmate was absent today because it's her Birthday. But yesterday when She ask for our Boss' approval , her reason was she was going to do something about her previous family member's death..
but actually find out that it was just a lie though..
My other workmate says that it is kinda bad when you reason out the dead when in fact it is your birthday..
I just hope her well today

May be she has a reason for doing that, but I don't think it is necessary to keep your bd a secret to your work mates

As for me I can't hide my birthday because it is a special day for me to celebrate with family and friends and I can't hide it
