Some songs are so deep

I think this is an older song, but I recently heard it and it's my new favorite. It reminds me that no matter what's happening in life, life isn't over yet. It has one offensive word which I don't like, but it's just a really profound song in my opinion. Rodney Crowell sings with John Paul White (formerly with the duo Civil Wars which I loved) and Rosanne Cash. The three of them have beautiful harmony together. Let me know what you think. The lyrics and the melody are what keep me playing it over and over. Remember, life isn't over until it's over.

Love the song. A shame it is not played on the radio. Did you know Rodney and Roseanne were married for 13 years?

No, I didn't know that! Do you know if they did other songs together?

@1creekgirl They have three daughters. And yes, many songs together. Here are a few, probably more out there. I can only post one link, but you can copy and paste the others. Or go to YouTube and type in both names. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SYwubmAvQA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0Z-3JqwAzQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrUs_FWqj9s&list=PL1157976346266A17

I feel that music has changed considerably over the decades. I was born in the early 80s and often feel that I was born in the wrong decade. music of the 70s and 80s has more meaning and depth then music of the 20th century. I have a great appreciation for older songs and artists. The times were very different and artists were very sincere about the music that they wrote and could really relate to their own personal lives in many ways through songs.

I agree. My all time favorite was Don Williams. So much emotion and soul in his music.

Rodney is one of my favorite poets and lyricists ever, and I had a crush on Rosanne Cash when I was a kid. Such talented people all in one place.
