On My Mind

Trying again with this towel ring. I made another but I'm still not impressed. Going to double up the cotton yarn (used two strands) and if I still don't like it then I guess I'm going for Acrylic.
I want to sell these and so it has to be just right. I'm not going to try to sell something I wouldn't buy.
Do you ever get fed up?
I don't like confrontation. I really, really don't. However, the other day, I confronted someone. They made a comment about me that they didn't need to make. A friend of mine tried to come at it from a different angle, an angle that would assuage the situation. I hit it directly. I'm sure I shocked a few people, but I made a few people say "You go girl!"
Anyway... back to crocheting and listening to this calming music.
How's your _____?

@Tina30219 Yeah, that's what sounds the most fun for me at the moment. I can do more tomorrow. I've been sitting in this chair almost all day anyway.

I leave that blank because I know we all live in different parts of the world. What is evening for me is day time for you.
I am feeling lazy and don't want to take another picture. I have to upload it to facebook and then to mylot. Maybe another day.

Absolutely. This guy is a hanger on. My friend is trying to get rid of him, but it's more difficult because they are still financially tied. He lies a lot too.

Today went well, just got home and so did my husband. I need to get up and give my cat her treat, but I'll do that in a minute.
I don't blame you for wanting a good product.

Glad you had a good day, hope you have a restful evening.
I'm sure the cat will remind you about her treat soon.

Absolutely. We want this person out of our lives but it isn't as easy as just blocking him from social media and from calling.

@LadyDuck Yes, it would.
We've tried to be friends with this man, but he's changed over the years and not for the better. My friend has to get out from under him (she has car payments she has to make to him). He lies about things like whether he has a copy of a key to her car.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I know, if we could "block" real people as we do on social media it would be great.

Very true. I find that my words get jumbled when I am nervous, frustrated or fed up though.

@thelme55 I think there must be a link somewhere. Our brains get overloaded and it messes up the connection between our mouths.

You're right, some people have no tack. I've let this particular guy say some things to me in the past. I've always laughed them off or ignored them because he was dating my friend. Actually, he dated two of my friends. We (one of my friends and I) joke that we gained a sister out of the relationship. To clarify, the woman this man dated AFTER my friend is now our friend and very close friend at that.

I'm a perfectionist and would want something I sell to be perfect too. As for the other situation, "You go girl!"

I'm trying a third time later today. I want to use cotton instead of acrylic, so I am going to double up my strands.
I may go to Hobby Lobby soon and get some cotton from them. I think their brand is a little bit thicker than the Premier's which is what I'm using now.
Yes. Sometimes people need to be put in their place. I commented on a friend's post about the gas shortage and he (the friend's ex) popped in with "But you don't even drive so why are you commenting?" I told him that I had a right to my opinion either way and his didn't concern me.

@LindaOHio It was also a matter of him seeing things in a different way as I do. I do hate when people judge things based on surface levels.
