In 1977 Leo Sayer was at number one on the US singles chart with "When I Needed You" The song was written by Albert Hammon and Carole Bayer Sager In 1983 Spandau Ballet had their first and only number one album on the UK album chart True,. The title track was at number one on the UK singles chart for four weeks. In 1994 Scottish band Stiltskin were at number one on the UK singles chart with "'Inside" The song was used on Levi's jeans TV commercial. It was their only number one hit. In 2000 Tom Jones was at number one on the UK album chart with Reload. This made him the oldest artist to have a number one album in the UK with new material, The same year the musical "We Wil Rock You" opened in London, England at the Dominion Theater. The musical was written by British comedian and author Ben Elton collaborating with Queen band members Brian May and Roger Taylor. The musical tells the story of a group of Bohemians struggling to restore the free exchange of thought, fashion, and live music in a distant future where everyone thinks, dresses, and does the same. Musical instruments and composers are not allowed and rock music is unknown. This musical has since become the longest-running musical at the Dominion Theater.
