Good morning from this side of the planet. It's 11:15 AM as I write this post. We woke up to another gorgeous weather dayunder the effect of cyclone in neighbouring state. It effected the coastal villages of our state too and two people lost their lives. And now it has moved to other states of Maharashtra and Gujarat. And it has intensifiedand has all possibilities of turning into a high grade devastating hurricane. . The wind can be destructive with a speed of 120_220 KMPH.. Alert is issued there and rescue forces have reached in full number.. Thoughts and prayers for all there. A natural calamity in time of pandemic can be really challenging. Now on a positive note, our covid numbers have a steep fall in last 24 hours and seems that the lockdown decision in many states and districts are showing positive sign.. The numbers are still huge but we hope that it continues to decline. Vaccination drive is going good in all states with a few glitches expected in a developing infrastructure and huge population. I am done with morning chores, my yoga and breathing exercises and cooking till dinner Enjoying my mid morning fruit snack. It's juicy grapes today. Now it's time to relax, stretch my legs and mylot I missed posting about my completed puzzle with my daughter. So here is the picture of the complete puzzle of 1500 pieces. We took around 2 hours sitting for 10_15 minutes each day. We have improved a lot since our first attempt with such big puzzle. . Our next 2000 pieces puzzle will take some time to come to us. Amazon has put it on hold for a while. So, today we decided to start another crochet project. She is happy to be my crochet teacher and I would be more than happy to learn something from my daughter that I can pass on to my students. So I am exploring simple crochet projects for primary and middle school Enough for the updates for a while. Let me move on to notifications and reading posts.I have all plans to be here till lunch time. My younger daughter is next to me doing her summer project. So I will keep supervising her when she needs help Have a good time in your mylot corner.

It is good to hear that number of cases have started coming down. Good on your part that you keep yourself busy in solving puzzles or trying your hand at crochet projects. Have a nice day.

@arunima25 I agree that learning new art is always a useful thing and in this era of lockdown it is easier to pick up new things/ art, as we have time to do so. Hopefully, you will become perfect in the art. I am surprised to know that it has therapeutic effect and it helps students in their academic skills also. Solving puzzles is one of the best exercise to keep our brain fit and healthy and it is good that you keep solving puzzles.

Yes, that is positive news, and hope the trend continues. For the first time in the last 45 days, the cases have gone below 3 lakhs. But it is still a huge number there and we are far from the crisis to get over any soon. Well, crochet is the new skill I picked up in last year during lockdown. My younger daughter is a pro at that and she taught it to me. I had made post about it here with my first finished project. I always look out for art and croft ideas as I use a lot of art and craft for therapy for my students. Crochet has tremendous therapeutic effect and benefits the students in terms of their academic skills too. Puzzles is another addiction that we picked last yearIt si good to exercise our grey cells to keep them functioning better.

@dpk262006 We need to exercise all parts of our body to make them fit. And our grey matter in brain is one of them. I enjoy solving puzzles, riddles etc with my daughters. Well, I do lot of artwork and am good at it. But crocheting is not coming easy to me. Good that my younger one is a patient teacher with me When parents come to me with problems like reading, arithmetic, writing etc, I make them do a lot of brain Gym, yoga and art. The academic side is benefitted automatically. Because our center in brain for few activities are interconnected.

That is definitely a test of patience and that's why we do not sit for too long at a stretch. It si just ten to fifteen minutes each day after dinner exercising the grey matter of our brain. So for a few days the place is occupied.

Yes, the lockdown has been extended in many states. I guess that is a wise thing to do right now. We really need all measures to curb the rate of infection.
