I might have to get a new TV provider

We have been having a lot of problems with Dish Network, it just keeps going on and off. It is the trees, greenery here. We have cut as much as we felt comfortable cutting, but friend is leery about cutting down two medium sized trees that might be in the way. Anyway, having someone else do it will run into money, and not thrilled with Dish's service to begin with, because every summer they take away some channel for weeks, due to not wanting to pay echostar (I think) who owns them. Dish is supposed to come out and relocate the dish, but not sure if they will be able to in a place that doesn't have interference. Streaming seems to work fine here for the most part, so I might have to expand my internet package and go with that, if Dish can't find a resolution. It would be cheaper overall anyway, and what most are doing it seems.

That sounds really frustrating. I hope the streaming services work better for you.

Well, I will keep Dish if they can find a place to locate it that is interference free. I am just not sure it will be possible.

@ScribbledAdNauseum We have cut all we can reach. The trees that may be in the way the branches and leaves are too high up to reach.

@snowy22315 Is there a way to cut limbs from the trees without cutting down the entire thing? I mean, do you think that would help?

We were with Dish once upon a time. It was stinky service. We’d lose the signal all the time.

Yes, not really a fan, but they are less rude than Direct TV and don't raise the price continously. I may just end up streaming.

I never had Dish myself but family/friends who did always said there were problems. I liked DirectTV until AT &T bought them. Then our bill jumped $40/month with no explanation other than AT &T bought them. We didn't upgrade any package, only got the basic one.

I used to like Direct TV too, and was thinking about getting them again, and the last time they were out here they were ridiculous. Guy came out and said he didn't have a tool or something and that he would be back and never came back, never called or anything. He wrote up no line of sight and he was here maybe 5 minutes.. Really unprofessional..

It really is. If they can't fix it when they come out, they can forget it.
