The Urgency to Stop the Raging War

Triggered by the outrageous ongoing war between Israelis and Palestinians, i decided today to watch "Born in Gaza", a Spanish film with English subtitles in Netflix. "Born in Gaza" narrates stories of war from the optics of children who were unwilling victims of these devastations they could not understand. Scavenging plastics from garbage dumps, screaming kids maimed by falling debris to first hand stories of children seeing their fathers, mothers, brothers and uncles, being severed to pieces by smart bombs - are scenes which make one livid,due to the injustice done to the most innocent victims, the children. What I miss though in the movie is the reason why Gaza was bombed by the Israelis. No scenes on the rocket factories, on the the Gazan " metros" and the Hammas training camps were shown. I felt the sense of urgency to stop the raging war going on in Holy Land. Fratelli Tutti ( We are all brothers), Pope Francis' latest Encyclical, echoed the urgency for a cease fire, for dialog between the two warring factions. I hope Pope Francis would be chosen to mediate. That would be a great idea!
