I am glad to report some good news this morning, we read enough of bad stuff all the time, this is refreshing.
A family in SPRINGFIELD, Mass, found the lottery ticket that a lady threw away thinking that it was not a lucky one.
But the owner of the store found the ticket in the trash and gave it back to the lady instead of keeping it for himself.
The ticket was worth a $1 million U.S.
We don't hear this kind of selfless act very often,

@marlina I would tune in to my local news if they did more segments like this. I know one channel did at one time, but am not sure if they still do.

@ScribbledAdNauseum , It is certainly more interesting to see than all the bad news: volcanos, murders, earthquakes, forest fires, pandemic, etc, etc

The store owner deserves a part of the winnings in my opinion.

@marlina - That is wonderful news, indeed! I'm sure that the woman really appreciated the $1 million. In addiition, the store that sold her the ticket probably also got a bonus for selling a winning ticket. Everyone was a winner in this story!

@marlina - That is wonderful! The store was honest, the woman got the prize, and the store benefited, as well!

I wonder if the woman gave the owner of the store a reward.

I am not sure if I could have had the fortitude to do such an act right now.

Nice to hear that kind of good news. I hope the lucky winner also gave a nice gift to the store owners. $10,000. Is a nice little bonus, it the woman threw away $1,000,000.

Wow! I always check my tickets VERY carefully. I've been playing the same numbers since 1989!

@marlina For sure! It's now at a good level. $4.4 million. We would get around $2 million. No more worries!

That's cool. I didn't realize that the stores that sell a winning ticket make something too. Maybe that's only in certain states.

@marlina I've never heard that before. Most stores must keep it a secret at least from their employees.
