What would you do if you received an email informing you that your daughter garnered high honors for their level? Then when you read again you will read that the parnets name is different with your daughter's name. That is what exactly happened last night. I was so excited that I just read the content and the awards she got. Then later on when I read in again on my laptop, I realized they put a different name for the parent. How can this be? There should be no errors in stuff like this, right? Now I cannot work properly as this is not yet resolved.

When my daughter was in school, the schools didn't have computers and didn't know how to send emails. She and I had computers but we were ahead of the curve. When she got awards I was given a paper during the ceremony at school. (This makes me sound so old! )

That is the case also 3 years ago. They will give a hardcopy of the letter to the student which is much better. Last year, they just inform me she was included but no more other letter. This year they emailed an erroneous letter

Oh for sure I would email or call them. I'd want to clarify if the award was indeed for my child, or if it was only a parent name error. Right - these things should be checked before they send out such messages.

Ah that's bad , the management should check properly before sending such mails, you can contact the management so that they can work on it.

I guess there must be some bloopers on the copying and pasting of your name to the report and no one proofread the email message. I guess you can always tell them of the errors in the emailed announcement.

@rakski I hope they would apologize for it. I guess it was sent to many parents and many of them would also see the mistake as well.
