Well, lookie, here comes the rain. Just in time for our weekly tournament. Nothing can dampen your spirits when a great Marvin Gaye tune is playing. As part of my “Motown May” feature suggested initially by @Dena91 I’m saluting the late, great singer. Here’s today’s song from the way-back machine. #6: Stubborn Kind of Fellow Welcome back, Martha and the Vandelllas! (They’re singing background on this song.) They all have to start somewhere, and in Marvin Gaye’s case, this was his first big hit single. You may not remember this one, because it gets left off the oldies stations in favor of other Gaye greats like “I Heard It Through the Grapevine,” but it’s a winner in my book! Stubborn Kind of Fellow Written by Marvin Gaye, William “Mickey” Stevenson, and George Gordy From That Stubborn Kinda Fellow, 1962 I made plans for two:

Not a fan of his stuff. I know, I’m hard to please, aren’t I.
